For nearly 150 years, Tummers Simon Dryers Technology has been designing and building high-performance drying systems for industries worldwide.
From the early rotary dryers of the 19th century to today’s energy-efficient, precision tubular and drum dryers, our focus has always been the same: innovate, improve, and work closely with our customers.

1879
Founded
By Richard Simon in Nottingham, UK.
1912
Rotary Dryer
Patent granted for the world’s first rotary dryer.
1930
Drum Dryer
First licenses issued for drum dryer manufacturing.
1970
Tubular Dryer
First tubular dryer installed for the pharmaceutical industry.
1991
Inc.
Incorporated as R. Simon Dryers Ltd. with a wide knowledge of all industrial drying methods
2003
Tummers Group
Acquired by the Tummers Group, strengthening expertise in starch and food processing.
2004
A. Tummers
Owner and director of Tummers group; Alfons Tummers appointed as Director of Simon Dryers Ltd.
2016
New Logo
Rebranding the company to Tummers Simon Dryers Technology to fit better under the umbrella of Tummers.
2018

E. Tummers appointed as Director, continuing the family tradition.
